Yesterday e'en night Mr. Blackwell, who keeps the Magpye Inn at Abington in Berkshire, having been at Walingford-Fair to buy Hogs, on his Return the next Day found his Doors lock'd, and waiting some Time, broke open the Doors, when to his great Surprize he found his Wife's Throat cut in a terrible manner, and her Head cleav'd with a Hatchet that was found lying at some Distance by her, and the House robb'd of a considerable Sum of Money. The same Night a loose disorderly Person was taken upon strong Suspicion of the said Murder and Robbery, and committed to Abington Goal.
