Columbus, O. (OLNS).—Application to the Retail Clerks' International Protective Association for a charter was made by a group of registered pharmacists employed locally following an organization meeting here last week.
The meeting was presided over by Carroll McGhee, general organizer for the International Union, which is affiliated with the American Federation of Labor. More than 500 pharmacists are eligible to affiliate with the new Union, McGhee said.
Temporary officers of the new Union will be named at a meeting, September 23, at which time the charter will probably be installed.
