Sad Accident.—We regret to learn that on Sunday morning last our esteemed friend Asa Sisson, of Coventry, met with an accident which must confine him to his room for several weeks, and perhaps months. He was returning in his wagon from the grove, where the temperance meeting was to be held in the afternoon, and where he had been to carry some benches, when the breeching-hook gave way, and the carriage pressing upon the horse's heels, the animal, which was a spirited one, commenced kicking, and very soon made the position of Mr. Sisson and Mr. Albert Anthony who was with him, not only unpleasant, but rather painful and dangerous. Mr. Anthony escaped with slight injury, by leaping from the wagon. Mr. Sisson remained longer, and suffered more—a kick from the horse, breaking his knee pan, and nearly disabling him.—He succeeded, however, in getting out of the wagon, and the horse was soon after brought to a stand-still. Mr. Sisson was carried to his home, which is one of the quietest and happiest retreats in the wide world, and on Sunday evening was as cheerful as a spring morning.
