THE UNION CONGREGATIONAL SAB. BATH SCHOOL FESTIVAL.

The Festival and Entertainment of the Union Congregational Sabbath School, held the night before New Year's, is generally pronounced a success of the first order. The Church was crowded, probably one-fourth of the audience being unable to find seats.

A wish has been expressed to have the programme published, and we therefore give it below. The recitations and tableaux were interspersed with a number of songs by the Union Congregational choir and the Sabbath School children.

PROGRAMME.

1. Lord's Prayer recited by Mrs. Harrington's class kneeling
2. Prayer by Rev. H. B. Tuttle
3. New Year's greeting by Mrs. Capt. Smith's class.
4. Recitation and Songs of Praise by Mrs. R. F. Humiston's class.
5. Tableau entitled "Faith,"
6. Recitation of verses "God is Love," by Mrs. Harrington's class.
7. Tableau, "Hope."
8. Song by Mrs. Hewitt's class.
9. Recitation of a humorous poem by one of the infants from Miss Ary Graunt's class.
10. Song by a number of the infants from Miss Etta Smith's class.
11. Tableau, "Charity."
12. Presentation of chromos to two scholars who excelled in bringing additions to the school.
13. Indian Lament, the actors dressed in Indian costume, by Mrs. Clarke's class.
14. Tableau, "Guardian Angel."

After these exercises, which were received with every possible appropriate demonstration of delight by the audience, all retired to the lecture-room below, where Santa Claus distributed a number of good things and everybody partook of a collation.
