LAGER BEER SALOON ROBBED.—An attempt was made on Wednesday evening to rob the lager beer saloon of Charles Kahler, No. 525 North Third street. The robbers effected an entrance from the rear of the building. They took a good overcoat belonging to the barkeeper, and no doubt would have carried off much more, had they not been alarmed by the inmates of the house, who heard them while endeavoring to effect an entrance. The robbers left behind them in the building several of their burglarious implements, which may possibly lead to their detection.
