The work of improvement in every part of our city goes on without interruption. Strangers visiting our place are wonderfully impressed with the enterprise and prosperity of our people. To keep pace with this growth has been the aim of some of our business men. In no case has the effort been more successful than in that of the popular grocer, Mr. John Lichtenwanger. In his new store room formerly occupied by Capt. Bearden, two doors north of the Chronicle office, he has facilities for accommodating his rapidly increasing trade. He still keeps on hand at his old stand a fine stock, and altogether can give his patrons superior bargains.
