Thos. J. Herbert For Governor
Thomas J. Herbert, Republican candidate for Governor, hits the nail squarely on the head when he says that the political campaign this fall,--state and national--is all one piece.
Declaring that Gov. Frank J. Lausche is definitely aligned with the New Deal, Mr. Herbert says Lausche is "seeking feverishly to disengage himself from the entangling alliance which he courted so vigorously only two years ago."
Accusing Governor Lausche of "coasting on the momentum of the preceding six-year administration by the same men whom the Republican party again presents as its candidates this year," Mr. Herbert says--Lausche is employing the "typical New Deal technique of attempting to be all things to all men."
We agree with Mr. Herbert that by digging out the New Deal at the roots in Ohio in 1946, we will utterly destroy it in the nation in 1948.
