HARTFORD, July 2.

The people concerned in trade, residing in the principal trading towns on Connecticut River, having received a Letter from the committee of correspondence in the Colony of Connecticut, with the Boston Evening-Post, containing an account of the Merchants of Portsmouth in New-Hampshire, in continuing their importations, to the great prejudice of American liberty; notwithstanding repeated solicitations to the contrary; setting forth, that the people of Boston, had agreed to break off all commercial intercourse with the people of said Portsmouth, requesting that the people of Connecticut will concur in the aforesaid measures-- It's unanimously agreed that we will, from this time, break off all commercial intercourse with the said people of Portsmouth, until their conduct is more consistent with the public good of America, or until the revenue Acts shall be repealed; and that we will use our utmost endeavours, that the same shall be punctually observed throughout this colony.
