LPA Service Praised By Veteran Labor Editor

N. Hollywood, Calif. (LPA) — The following box was printed on page 2 of the March 21 issue of the semi-monthly American Aeronaut, IAM publication, edited by Joe Lochray:

'At the last meeting of the Aeronaut Control Board it was decided to use the service of the Labor Press Association instead of the Federated Press which this paper has used almost since its first issue. The Labor Press Association is practically a newcomer in the field, organized to serve more conservative publications which at times have found fault with the real leftish tendencies of some of the Federated Feature writers.

'The Federated Press pioneered the Labor News Service and deserves a great deal of credit for the work it has done for almost the last 30 years. Your editor served as a member of its executive board in 1922-23-24 and the editor of the Machinists Journal held a similar position much more recently.

'The new Labor Press Association is acquiring some of the best talent in the business and bids fair to become the leader in the field.'
