REGIMENT ON THE MARCH.

The Fifth Infantry Starts Back From Fort McPherson.

Atlanta, Oct. 23.-The Fifth infantry from Fort McPherson, which has been camping in the Chickamauga National park for ten days, has commenced the homeward march by very nearly the same route they took on the way up.

They will be en route for about ten days and may make it in nine days, as the roads and the weather are much more favorable than when they left the post. They expect to cover about fifteen miles a day and will march about five hours out of the twenty-four.
