AUTO DRIVERS HEED SUNDAY BAN

Automobiles drivers heeded the request for no Sunday riding and in all there was less than 200 names taken in the city, including out of town cars. The streets were almost deserted during the day of automobiles, and occasionally there was a team riding by to or from the fair grounds. The greater part of the crowd which usually hangs around on the street Sundays made their way to the grounds and passed the day there.

Officers had their books during the day and although the exact number was not known last evening, it was estimated that there was less than two hundred cars which passed through the city during the day, including the doctors, business men and necessary driving which had been exempted.
