The King of Prussia continues endeavouring by all Methods, rough and smooth, to engage the Dutch on his Side, with regard to his Pretensions, to the Succession of Bergue and Juliers; and the Court of France at the same Time employs her utmost Interest to keep the Republick neuter. The States-General seem in great Perplexity, as indeed they have Reason, for his Prussian Majesty counts much upon his Succession to East Friezland, and is determin'd, in case they do not befriend him in the Affair of Bergues and Juliers, to make Embden a free Port, which will not inconsiderably affect the Trade of Holland, seeing 'tis
