Roy Young was in Keene, N. H., last week.
Charles Miller and Archie Cuthbertson returned Saturday from their St. Louis trip. They spent some time in Iowa, besides several stops at points of interest on the way out and back, and report a fine time.
Mrs. H. S. Tolman was in St. Johnsbury, Friday.
Carroll Collins visited Mr. Hopkins at the Hardwick Inn last week.
Luther Smith is home from Bakersfield Academy for a short vacation.
Albert Kinney and his school friend Himerth are spending their vacation at the former's home.
The reformed cobbler, Peter Parrin from North Hyde Park, lectured on temperance at the Presbyterian church Tuesday evening to an interested audience.
George Dow has the poles set for a New England telephone line from Greensboro village to East Craftsbury and will soon have it ready for the wire to South Albany.
Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Campbell attended the Conwell lecture at Hardwick, Thursday evening.
Miss Mabel Esdon will teach in the village school this winter.

Little Maurice Spiers had an operation performed on his back at the Mary Fletcher hospital, Wednesday, and at this writing is reported as having had a successful operation and doing nicely.
