Last Wednesday being the Festival of St. Andrew, the Mayor and Aldermen of this City, met at the usual Place, in order to choose their Mayor: Where Edward Barradell, Esq; resigned his Mayoralty, and Mr. John Harmer was immediately invested with the Authority. The new Mayor gave a handsome Entertainment to the Aldermen, and Common Council Men; and the Day was celebrated with a general Joy. And, Edward Barradell, Esq; is appointed Recorder of this City, in the Room of John Clayton, Esq; lately deceased.
