The Vancouver Bridge.

The Interstate Commerce Committee favorably reported Representative Cushman's bill permitting the Portland & Seattle railroad to build a bridge across the Columbia river near Vancouver.

The bridge authorized is primarily for the railroads, it being intentional with the builders to provide a driveway and sidewalks, for the use of which tolls may be charged. Other railroads desiring to cross the Columbia river at this point may use this bridge upon payment of a reasonable price.

The bridge must be commenced in one year and completed within three years.
