U. S. DISTRICT COURT

The interminable case of the United States vs. Wilson, alleged Cherry Creek mail robber, is at last drawing to a close. This case has engaged the attention of the United States District Court for the past two weeks. Late last night Attorney General John R. Kittrell was making the closing argument for the prosecution. His argument was terse, forcible and eloquent, exhibiting the talented jurist and cultured gentleman. After the conclusion of General Kittrell's argument the case was submitted to the jury. Now the co-defendants of Wilson, two in number, will undergo separate trials. If these cases consume as much time as Wilson's, the Court will not adjourn until after the beginning of 1879.
