SEVERE HAIL STORM.

The storm of Wednesday last was more severe in the Southern part of the county than in this vicinity. It rained hard for the space of an hour, with a small sprinkling of hail; but we have not learned that any damage was done to the corn or anything else.

We are informed that the brunt of the storm came upon Lewistown. Some fields of corn were a good deal damaged. The Democratic pole was snapped off about half way, by the wind and the upper half fell upon the Court House, smashing in the roof of that building, to the great consternation of the bats and owls, congregated there.
