Threshing Machine.—A very useful invention for threshing wheat, or other grain, and cleaning it at the same operation, has been made by Mr. Ezra Goodell, of Phelps, in this county. It is simply an improvement on the Picking Machine, now in use by the wool carders.

A successful trial of the machine has been made before a large company of gentlemen, and gives universal satisfaction—it promises to outdo any thing of the kind for simplicity and utility that ever has been invented in this country.

It has threshed and cleaned one bushel of wheat in 4 1-2 minutes. Mr. Goodell has applied for a patent.
