CHICAGO, Oct. 20.-At to-day's meeting of the executive committee of the World's Fair national commission, Harris of Virginia offered a resolution which he asked to be referred to the conference committee of the commission and the local director, directing that a committee to consider the advisability of appointing a joint conference committee of the two bodies, to act permanently with relation to all subjects in which both bodies are interested. If this proposition is adopted it will result in the creation of a body representing both boards which would probably be in almost continuous session in this city, and which would exercise a supervision over all practical administration of the exposition affairs.
