NATIONAL CONVENTION.
April 16.

Upon the report of Couthon the following modifications of the decree against the ci-devant nobles and ex-generals were adopted.

Are excepted from the law of the 15th inst. all foreigners residing in France for 20 years, and all those who having resided 6 years have married a French woman not of the ex-nobility.

Those are included in the law who without being nobles according to the ideas and rules of the ancient government, have usurped or purchased titles or privileges of nobility, or those who may have assumed false titles.
