Admiralty-Office, August 17.

On the 12th Instant, in the Morning, Vice Admiral Martin, in the Edinburgh, with the Yarmouth, Prince Frederick, Hampton Court, and Gloucester, and the Hinchinbroke and Tavistock Sloops, anchored in Plymouth Sound; and brought in with them a French Man of War called the Panther, of 20 Guns and 260 Men, commanded by M. Keruzaret, of the Order of St. Louis; a Small French Privateer Schooner quite new, and six Days out from Bayonne, of 64 Men, two Carriage and 14 Swivel Guns, and a French Merchant Ship called the St. Paul, belonging to Rochelle, from Leogane and Havana, laden with Sugar and Indigo, with two Spanish Officers Passengers, viz. Don Felix Zoldran, Knight of Malta, Captain of the Carlos Sunk at Carthagena, and Don Francisco Oroseo, Captain of a Frigate.
