Geauga county will vote on bond issues totaling $623,000.00 and on five requested tax levies at the election next month according to notices published today by the Geauga county election board.

Largest bond issue will be decided by the voters of the Chardon school district who will vote on a $235,000.00 debt to complete the building of their new high school building.

Second largest amount is $200,000.00 being asked by the West Geauga district for an addition to their Junior high school building and equipment. The West Geauga issue was put up to the voters last spring and turned down.

Thompson will vote on a $103,000.00 issue for the purchase of land and construction of a school building.

Montville votes on a $75,000.00 issue for alterations and expansion of the present school.

Claridon voters will pass on a request for $10,000.00 to repair and enlarge the town hall.

SCHOOL LEVIES

Chardon will ask a four mill levy - three mills of this is renewal and one mill is for additional expense.

Claridon school board is asking approval of a five mill levy. This is a renewal of a 2.3 levy and an additional tax of 2.7 mills.

Thompson schools will seek a renewal of their five mill levy.

Huntsburg school board is asking for a renewal of their six mill operating levy.

West Geauga will ask approval of a three mill levy for current operating expense.

Chardon village council is asking for a two mill levy for the repair of streets.
