Only Matter of Special Importance at The July Session.
The only matter of importance at the regular July meeting of the city council was the fixing of the tax rate for 1925. Only routine matters occupied the attention of the city fathers on the remainder of the program.
It was decided to set the tax rate for 1925 the same as in 1924, which is for principal and interest on public debt, 8 mills; for schools 7 mills, and for general operation and maintenance of the city 5 mills, making a total of 20 mills.
