We yesterday met a gentleman who was on the Southside train at the time of the accident. He describes the sensation as most awful; and he in vain tried for rest. Every few moments, during the night since he would start up in alarm, with the vision of the whole scene dominant in his imaginations. This gentleman, (Dr. J. Banister, of Amelia,) although he received a severe bruise on the side of the head, rendered his professional skill and manly care most serviceable during the confusion and anxiety of such a moment. We have heard gratitude expressed to him from various quarters.
