BLAME STANDARD OIL SHIP.

Baltic, With Carnegie and Rogers, Free From Sandy Hook Mud Bank.

NEW YORK, May 10.-The giant steamship Baltic of the White Star line, which grounded on a mud bank five miles northeast of Sandy Hook during the night of Wednesday while outward bound for Europe, was successfully floated at high tide last night.

The big ship is thought to have sustained no damage.

The passengers, who included Andrew Carnegie and Henry H. Rogers took the situation good naturedly, as the officers had assured the passengers that the ship was resting easily and in no danger.

The Baltic grounded on the shoals while trying to escape running down an oil tank steamer.
