Attempted Suicide.

Nathan Jones, at his residence, on Prickly Pear, near the crossing of the Bozeman road, endeavored to put an end to his earthly existence this morning by taking large doses of morphine and ether. Dr. R. F. Clarke, who was sent for immediately by relatives of Jones, returned about 3 p. m. after succeeding in counteracting the effects of the poison taken by the unfortunate. Dr. Clarke says that Mr. Jones was reticent as to the cause or causes which led him to attempt his life, but it is thought by those acquainted with him, that family troubles had something to do with the rash act.
