RELEASED.—The man Van Cleve, alias Kellogg, who was arrested some four weeks ago upon the suspicion of being a spy and who has since been confined in the Athenaeum, was released, as no evidence could be adduced to justify his detention. Kellogg has made himself very useful as a clerk about the prison and the officers were sorry to part with him.

John W. Rowe, refugee from the south, who has been confined in the prison for using treasonable language was released yesterday. Both parties were released upon condition that they would go without the bounds of the Department and not return.
