Full Text
The Democratic papers inform us with great emphasis, that Mr Polk will be President in fact and make his appointments with great deliberation.-- We protest in behalf of our Locofoco friends of small capital against the deliberative clause. Board at the 'Indian Queen' and Gadsby's, counts up fast and this with a generous contingent fund for juleps, gin cocktails, sherry cobblers and oyster scollops to secure influence, will exhaust the appropriations--No, no, put the patients "out of pain" as soon as possible.
