On the 11th instant, high constable Clark arrested seven persons, Samuel Davis, Thomas Davis and Sheldon and Herman Durkee, and lodged Oliver Hanks, Harry Hollister, Elijah Hanston them in Sherbrooke jail: having found on the premises of some of them a quantity of bad money, and some tools for coining, a quantity of bank bills and a printing press under a forge in a blacksmith's shop; also, some counterfeiting apparatus, and about one hundred counterfeit half eagles.
