Full Text

The Emperor of Germany has approved of a Project, by virtue of which every Battalion is, for the future, to have a certain Number of Mules to carry the Soldiers Cartridges, the Custom hitherto of carrying them in Carts being found to be inconvenient on sundry Accounts, and particularly because in an Engagement the Carts can't always keep up with the Troops. According to this same Project, every Company is to have a Number of Rugs distributed; 2 or 3 to every Lodging Room, because it has been observed that the cold Weather during the Nights in Hungary, is the Cause of the Ditempers that are so common to the Armies of that Country.
