CONGRESS.—In the Senate, on Monday, the 10th, the Assumption of State Debts, was again taken up, Mr. Crittenden offered an amendment to the resolutions of the report; declaring the right of the States to negotiate loans, and expressing confidence in their ability to meet their engagements— and approving of a division of the proceeds of the sales of the public lands.

In the House on the same day, nothing of interest was done.

In the Senate on Tuesday and Wednesday, a part of each day, Mr. Crittenden's amendment to the report about the State Debts, was debated.

On the same days, in the House, nothing of any importance was transacted.

In the Senate, on Thursday, the day was consumed in discussing the Abolition subject.

In the House, on the same day, the Cumberland Road bill was discussed.

On Friday, in the Senate, the Fishing Bounties occupied the principal part of the day.

In the House, on the same day, the Cumberland Road bill was further discussed.
