SALEM, June 23.

Capt Meek, who arrived on Sunday in 35 days from Aux-Cayes, informs, that while he lay at that place, four boats sailed to attack an English cruizer, a brigantine of 18 guns, that lay near Tiberoon. The boats succeeded in boarding her, captured and brought her safe into Aux-Cayes. Just before he sailed, an embargo was laid for the purpose of cloaking an expedition against an English 44 gun ship. The vessels for the purpose were two small ships of 16 guns, the above brigantine, and two small schooners. Capt. M. supposes, that if they find her at anchor, they will capture her.
