VOTERS REMEMBER. that LEWIS Cass has charged and received from the Government $68,990.46 EXTRA PAY over and above his regular salary—REMEMBER that this is proved by official documents reported to Congress by President Polk.
VOTERS REMEMBER. that ZACHARY Taylor, in forty years services, has NEVER CHARGED OR RECEIVED ONE CENT of EXTRA PAY—REMEMBER that this is admitted in official documents reported to Congress by President Polk.
VOTERS REMEMBER, that the Washington Union admits that Lewis Cass has received $68,990.46 extra pay, over and above his lawful salary.
