Major Chapin has made another excursion; he landed at point Abino, on the British side of lake Erie, and succeeded in bringing off sundry articles, among which were a quantity of blankets. Col. Dawson, aid to Gen. Wilkinson, had been at Buffaloe, and held a secret council with the Indians and it was understood the Indians had agreed to cross again into Canada, to aid our army in a general attack upon the enemy, which it was expected would take place soon, as every thing seemed to warrant such a conclusion.--Alb. pau
