B O S T O N. March 4.

We have just received the following Extraordinary Intelligence, viz. - The Master of a Vessel just arrived at Newport, Rhode-Island, from the Windward Islands in 25 Days, gives the following Account, - That the French had taken one of the King's Sloops of War and carried her into Martinico, which made a great Noise in the West-Indies. He mentions the following Circumstance viz. That the Sloop had taken two French Vessels on a Clandestine Trade, which were carried to Antigua and there Condemned; and to resent which the French fitted out a 74 Gun Ship to take the Sloop, which they effected, and carried her in as above.

We also learn, That the several French Governors in the West-Indies, have absolutely forbid all Trade with the English.
