HOLLYWOOD. - The name of William Demarest is assured of a long life.
The Demarest clan is settled throughout the state of New Jersey and the town of Demarest, a farming community of 500 outside of Patterson, is the hub of family tradition.
Bill Demarest, who has a featured comedy role in Paramount's "Salty O'Rourke," recently received the latest report on civic pride in the Hollywood accomplishments of the most prominent acting member of the family.
