Rail Road from the Erie Canal to the Alleghany River.- A meeting of the citizens of Genesee, Livingston and Monroe counties, N. Y. was held in Batavia on the 28th ult.,-Gen. Jacob Gould in the chair, and Henry Hawkins secretary,- at which it was resolved to petition the Legislature to incorporate a Company to construct a rail road from the Erie canal at Rochester, thro' the valley of Tonnewanta creek to the Alleghany river. Committees were appointed to draft and circulate a petition, and to draft a bill.
