MBC Sets "Glass Menagerie"
Presentation

The Morris Brown College Laboratory Theatre will present "The Glass Menagerie," a two-act play, on March 4 and 5 in the College Chapel.

The play centers around two fascinating characters: Amanda Wingfield and her daughter Laura.

Amanda is a little woman of great but confused vitality, clinging frantically to another time and place. She is not paranoiac, but her life is paranoia. There is much to admire in Amanda, and as much to love and pity as there is to laugh at.

Laura has been left crippled by a childhood illness, one leg slightly shorter than the other, and held in a brace. As a result she lives in illusions for the most part.

The play is at once then something that will beat at the heart strings like the billows of the sea as they roll across the world.

This will be the second performance of the Morris Brown Players this year. The first one, "Claudia" was quite a success, and this one promises to be nothing short of it.
