Full Text

We learn by some of our People that are returned from Brest, who carried over a Frigate, bought on the French King's Account, that the French behaved very oddly to them, and were more scrupulous than ever we were in time of War, even our greatest Enemies; hurried them on board a Small Sloop, which sailed with the Frigate to bring them back. without suffering them to take in Water, though they told the Harbour-Master they had only 30 Gallons on Board, which was not a Gallon for each Man.

What must have become of these People, had not the Wind favoured them?
