Tourists Come
To Kodiak

Kodiak was host to 50 Anchorage visitors over Labor Day weekend. Arriving Sunday in a chartered PNA plane, the visitors toured the town, visited local business establishments, saw the sights, went for a bus trip to Spruce Cape in a Tagura Transit Co bus, remained overnight and Monday went for a boat ride in the CAA launch and visited Woody Island The Montmartre Inn. Kodiak Hotel and the Yum Yum Beach Apartments were hosts for the visitors Sunday night.

Monday, about 50 local people went for a ride over Kodiak Island. This trip sponsored by Ray Martin, Local agent for PNA, has become a yearly event for Kodiakians. Two flights over the island for the weekend were scheduled by Mr Martin but bad weather forced the cancellation of the Sunday trip The Anchorage visitors said they had a fine time. and from reports received Tuesday the flight over the Island was enjoyed by all.
