POLICE ARREST ALLEGED ROBBERS

Two men, John Stevens and Tom Rourke, were arrested by Officers Chambers and Kelliher last evening on suspicion of having been implicated in the pawning of a watch which was stolen from R. L. Knight, Saturday evening.

The officers recovered the watch in a local pawn shop from the description furnished by the owner of the property and the men will be closely questioned today relative to their connection with the matter.

The police state that there is a possibility of these men being also connected with the robbery of Jack Sergeant Saturday night at the Sewall saloon, when he lost a watch and several dollars in money. The item was suppressed by the police.
