LISBON, Dec. 12.

The King intending to make a general Review of his Forces in the Spring, has caused Orders to be sent to all the Officers to join their respective Regiments by the 20th of April next at farthest, and to have all their Regiments complete by that Time. Orders have been sent to the Governors and Commanders of all the Fortified Towns of this Kingdom, to give in an exact Account of the State and Condition of the Fortifications of each Place, by the 15th of March next, in order to their being immediately repaired. The King has ordered, that for the future no Persons, condemn'd by the Inquisition, shall be executed before their Sentences have been examined and approved by his Majesty's Council, and signed by himself.
