Medfly, Move Over
WERE YOU SOMEWHAT surprised—and hurt—when those pesky little insects bit you Wednesday evening? Wanna know sumpin'? They were called mosquitoes. Remember the mosquito? Well, a large number of these tiny fellows flew in from the Everglades following heavy southwesterly winds. And, altho the insect with the penetrating stab is almost extinct in these parts, an avalanche of them came to town during the last 48 hours. Several mixtures of DDT will be hurled at these 'men from mars' who invaded the area unsolicited.
