JUNE 11.

The generality of the late English prints represent affairs in Europe as on the very eve of a general war, as all the belligerent powers are actually making every preparation for the bloody event -- that the life of great Frederick of Prussia is despaired of, whose death it is conjectured would produce a great alteration and change, both in politicks and their present warlike operations. -- And that England is also engaged in putting herself in the best posture of defence, the expediency of fortifying their principal ports and harbours, and filling up, with new ships, the breaches in their navy, occasioned by the late impolitick and ruinous war, having been fully and amply discussed in the Parliament.

It is likewise confidently asserted that Engineers have actually arrived in the British West-indies, to repair all their fortifications in that part of the globe -- and that two regiments are ordered out from England to Canada, to relieve the eighth, which has been on duty a number of years in that province, and which now occupy and garrison the posts within the jurisdiction of the United States.
