Full Text

To the Editor of the National Gazette.

SIR,

THE following Ticket will, it is believed, receive a firm and successful support from all the friends to the Republican interests of America, in every part of the State. Let the names, indeed, be considered with candor, and there can be little danger in contrasting them with those, which a self-created board of conferees will endeavour to palm upon the people.

Charles Thomson,

William Findley.

Frederick A. Muhlenberg,

William Montgomery. (of Northumberland)

Daniel Heister

John Smilie,

William Irvine, of Cumberland

Peter Muhlenberg,

Jonathan D. Sergeant,

Andrew Gregg,

Thomas Hartley,

John W. Kittera,

John Barclay.

The Printers throughout the state are requested to publish the above ticket.

Sept. 26.

Main Argument

the proposed republican ticket, featuring candidates like charles thomson and william findley, deserves strong support from republican interests across the state, as it contrasts favorably with nominees from a self-created board of conferees.
