Frightened by Explosion.

By the explosion of a stick of dynamite under a car of the Tazewell Electric company, at Tazewell, Tuesday afternoon a dozen or more people were placed in jeopardy of their lives. The dynamite was put into the flange of the track by unknown persons and when the explosion occurred the passengers, numbering about half a dozen ladies and about as many men, were panic stricken, but no one was injured beyond being severely shocked. The car was so badly damaged that the passengers had to be transferred in hacks and taken hastily to the train.

The affair caused a good deal of excitement in the neighborhood. There is no clue to the perpetrators of the crime.
