London papers by the latest arrivals inform, that "the Mediterranean warms with cruisers from the different states of Barbary, particularly Algiers.—Gallies seem to be getting out of fashion with these Barbarians, who are now fitted out in good vessels, mounting from 18 to 40 guns, and manned with desperate renegadoes from all nations.—The same papers pretend, that the Cruisers pay no respect to any flag but the English; and add, that it is the intention of several nations to form a junction of forces in the spring, on purpose to clear the Mediterranean of these unprincipled pests of civilized life and commercial intercourse."
