A sad occurrence took place in our county last week which should be a warning to those traveling over the prairies during the continuance of a blizzard. In the latter part of the week before last, a young man, Henry Porter, aged 25, started from his father's place near Walhalla, with an ox team to go through to Park river. He arrived safely at Cavalier and on Saturday he started despite the warnings of his friends, in the midst of the severe blizzard to his destination. Nothing further was heard of him until Monday last when Mr. Dickinson came into town and notified Sheriff Brown that he had found the body of a man lying in Willow coulee, about 12 or 13 miles south of Cavalier. This has since proved to be the unfortunate young Porter.
