Full Text
Effects of the Non-Intercourse.--We assert it for a fact, and which our readers may rely on, that an American vessel which had gone off, arrived lately at an English island, with a cargo of flour, and was not permitted to land it, but sailed with it for St. Bartholomews where she has arrived.
Does not such a fact illustrate better than all the fine-spun arguments of visionary statesmen in support of this foolish system? Does it not prove that Mr. Macon's bill is a wise measure, compared with the half way measure of non-intercourse?
(Norfolk Ledger.)
