Full Text

JOHN QUINCY ADAMS.

This illustrious statesman has left New York, with his family, on his way once more to the seat of government, to mingle again in the councils of the nation, and shed over their deliberations the light of experience and the wisdom of years. He appears to be in good health, and to retain both his physical and mental activity to a remarkable degree. Though over eighty years of age, he yet seems to enjoy the amusements as well as the great business and grave missions of life. He attended the Park Theatre in New York on Wednesday evening with his family, where he was greeted with the most lively enthusiasm. On his entrance, which was unexpected, the whole house resounded with cheers, to which the venerable patriot bowed his acknowledgements.
